CHIPPEWASSEE PARK

Chippewassee Park is Downtown Midland's premiere location for events and fun! Located west across the Tridge, Chippewassee Park is a 35-acre recreational area that has something for everyone. In the winter months it is a great place for cross-country skiing, sledding and ice fishing on the surrounding Tittabawassee and Chippewa rivers. During warm weather, the park is quite popular due to the large picnic shelter (available for reservation), picnic tables, grills, play equipment, extensive fitness course, open fields, and paved trails.Chippewassee Park is known for its festivals and events held during the summer. Tunes by the Tridge, a weekly concert series, features bands of various genres playing next to the Farmers' Market and Midland's famed Tridge. Chippewassee Park hosts the annual Riverdays Festival each July, and is a favorite location to watch Midland's fireworks on the fourth of July. Chippewassee is also home to Trilogy Skate Park.

THE MIDLAND FARMERS MARKET

The Midland Farmers Market structure is an integral part of Downtown Midland. Located at the foot of Ashman Street, it hosts the Midland Area Farmers Market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, May – October. Throughout the summer, visitors and residents alike will also find numerous other activities and events in this centerpiece of Downtown Midland.To reserve the Farmers Market structure for an event, contact the Midland City Manager's Office at 989-837-330. To participate in the Wednesday and Saturday morning Farmers Market, contact the Midland Area Community Foundation, 989-839-9901.

GERSTACKER SPRAYGROUND

Wear your suit and let this fun spray park squirt, sprinkle, and splash your summertime blues away! The Gerstacker Sprayground is located at 201 Wyman, along the Pere Marquette Rail-Trail near the Farmers Market. It offers free water fun for children of all ages. A combination of huge, bubbly fountains and small, squirting spouts make the park the perfect place to cool off on a warm afternoon. Water shoes are recommended as surfaces may be slippery. Restroom facilities are located nearby.Park Hours: Water features operate from Dawn-Dusk during the summer months. Park open June 1 – October 1
